WAYCROSS, Ga. — The stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series are gearing up for a spectacular Labor Day weekend tripleheader.
The nation’s top dirt late model drivers will converge on three unique venues, with over $170,000 in total prize money up for grabs.
The action will kick off on Friday, Sept. 2 at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. A complete racing program is on tap for the LOLMDS, which includes Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 50-lap, $10,000-to-win main event. Friday night’s event will also include a $5,000-to-win program for the F.A.S.T. 410 Sprints.
On Saturday, Sept. 3, the LOLMDS will return to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. The Pepsi 60 River Days Rumble will include a 60-lap, $12,000-to-win main event. The Modifieds and Bombers will serve as support divisions.
The 48th annual Hillbilly Hundred at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, W.Va. will cap off the blockbuster weekend. The event will feature a complete program, capped off by the crown jewel 100-lap, $25,000-to-win main event.
In 2015, Scott Bloomquist swept the three-race weekend.
