The 2015 racing season is quickly approaching but first — car show and race team benefit season will kick into high gear.
Drivers are hard at work getting their rides ready to hit the dirt and some drivers are well into planning a benefit party to help their team get the season started. The cast of Turn 5 Live will talk to three drivers that fit the bill for all of these scenarios when they take to the airwaves of the Performance Motorsports Network at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday night.
Gil Tegg Jr. will join the show to talk about his comeback season in 2014 and what the 2015 plans will hold- including plans to return to a familiar track for the Rochester, New York native. Tegg has been hard at work on his No. 22 Troyer and he will give an update on how the 2015 preparations are going.
Steven, Clint and Brad will then strap in with the ‘Motorized Mad Man’, Darryl Ruggles, who picked up twice the hardware in 2014. Ruggles locked up 305 Sprint track championships at both Yates County Speedway and Canandaigua Motorsports Park. He is planning a big benefit party for the team consisting of his 305 ride as well as his daughter Alysha’s 305 Sprinter and will fill in the race fans on how they can participate.
A regular around the Turn 5 Live studio is Nick Guererri from the Back Row Gang at Canandaigua Motorsports Park. This week Nick is appearing on the show to talk about his 2015 Troyer is coming together — his first brand new race car in his racing career. Nick and some others from the Back Row Gang have a big bash set for Saturday Feb. 28 and Nick will inform everyone just how many prizes they have that should catch a lot of dirt racing fans eyes and ears!
Race Chaser Online Managing Editor Jacob Seelman will stop by in hour number two to talk all things DIRTcar Nationals — from UMP modifieds to Sprint Cars to Late Models and Big Block Modifieds.
Steven and Clint will also talk Black Rock Speedway driver announcements, Woodhull Raceway announcements and of course another edition of the ever popular ‘Buy or Sell?!’
