Ah… Another weekend of action packed racing is ahead of us at the Seekonk Speedway.

Last weekend we saw a rough Fast Friday for all of our divisions. It was hot outside for the fans and even hotter inside the cars for the drivers and the tempers showed in some of the divisions. We had a rough Triple Crown Race two for the Legend Cars, but Jordan Lamothe came out on top so congrats go out to him and the team.

This week at Seekonk Speedway we have both Fast Friday and Super Saturday taking center stage with some exciting feature events on both nights.

Friday night we will see round two of the Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series for the Pure Stock class. They have seen some great battles all season long and come off what was one of the best battles for the lead in recent memory.

Mark Murphy and Chad Baxter crossed each other over a few times and battled door-to-door hard until Murphy was able to edge out. Even though he had a tough couple of weeks to start the season he came back strong and should be a factor this week with extra distance up on the line. Instead of the normal 25 lap distance we will go 30 laps.

The Pure Stocks will be joined by the Nick’s Pit Stop Legend Cars, SYRA 600 and SYRA 750 along with the Sport 4 class. Let’s see if TTM Motorsports can put themselves back in Everett’s Auto Parts Victory Circle after being extremely strong in last weekend’s Sport 4 feature.

Saturday evening we have a special night for all that will be involved here at Seekonk. Round two of the Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series for the Street Stock class will take place with what is expected to see an advanced car count for the 35 lap event.

With extra distance and double the points up on the line for the Streeters, there is no telling what could happen on Saturday night. Those drivers hang their machines out sideways each and every circuit and give everything they have for all the laps.

Could Rey Lovelace finally put the Anytime No. 14 machine in Victory Lane? He has been strong every week but the luck has not been on his side. Paul Lallier had a late-race issue last week but he has arguably been the fastest car on the track since the start of May.

When the Pro Stocks go extra distance, the real drivers come out.

Once a year… well it used to be… The Pro Stocks would go 100 green flag laps in a chance for glory. But this time, we will do it twice…

On Saturday night, 100 green flag laps for the Pro Stocks will take place courtesy of Everett’s Auto Parts with regular points on the line. Freddy Astle, David Darling, Kyle Casper, Angelo Belsito, Tom Scully Jr. and many more will battle it out for glory.

Who comes out on top? Who survives what will sure be a few crashes by the feature’s end?
