CHARLOTTE, NC – Officials from the Charlotte Auto Racing Show (CARS) are very excited to announce that the Pro Tree Racers Association (PTRA) will be hosting their annual awards banquet as part of the events that surround CARS December 5-7, 2013. “We are so honored that PTRA has decided to host their banquet at the show and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to engage with the drag racing community,” stated CARS Show Director, Kate Dillon.
“CARS is much more than a trade show,” said Show Promoter Clint Elkins. “CARS is an annual event that showcases all forms of motorsports. With educational seminars, racing banquets and hundreds of the leading industry companies displaying products and networking with potential clients, CARS is quickly turning into a staple on everyone’s calendars,” concluded Elkins.
PTRA President, Tony Brown, stated, “Going into our eleventh season in 2014, being a part of the Charlotte Auto Racing Show is a big step into the next chapter of the PTRA’s existence. Our banquet guests now have the opportunity to browse the show hall for a good part of the day before our festivities begin. This is a perfect way to bring more drag racing enthusiasts together with other members of the motorsports community. December is going to be an exciting time for racing off the track. The PTRA is so happy to be a part of it all.”
The PTRA was formed in 2004 and now has nine classes of cars under their umbrella. Over 200 racers from all over the East coast compete with them on a regular basis. The next stop for the tour will be at Mooresville Dragway in Mooresville, NC for the PTRA Nationals August 17th.
The Charlotte Auto Racing Show is a hardcore motorsports industry trade show held at the Charlotte Convention Center in uptown Charlotte, NC December 5-7. For more information on CARS please visit http://www.charlotteautoracingshow.com/ or call 828-855-CARS.
