August 4, 2013 – Abbottsville, PA – Legendary Pennsylvania sprint car racer Kramer Williamson has died of internal injuries following a crash at Lincoln Speedway last night during a qualifying heat race for the URC/360 Sprint Car Series.

This is the second fatality in sprint car racing in less than two months as Jason Leffler was killed on June 13th in an accident at New Jersey’s Bridgeport Speedway.

Williamson, winner of 144 sprint car races and a past Williams Grove Speedway champion, caught a wheel from another competitor and flipped his car several times before coming to a stop.  He was airlifted out of the speedway and underwent surgery last night.  He was listed in critical condition as of this morning but succumbed to his injuries this afternoon.

Our entire staff at RaceChaser Online would like to send their deepest condolences to Kramer’s family and loved ones.
