New England race fans, wait no more.
NASCAR Home Tracks and NBCSN released their 2016 touring series T.V. schedule on Friday morning for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour.
The schedule also includes tape delay races for the K&N Pro Series East and West Tours.
Here are the modified headlines….
Whelen Northern Tour Showcased
The first Whelen Modified Tour T.V. date is Wednesday June 22 at 6 p.m., with the running of the Thompson Mr. Rooter 125 a week after the race is live at the 5/8 mile oval. The second comes Thursday July 21 with two races in one night.
The 100 lap feature at New Hampshire Motor Speedway the week prior will air at 6 p.m., followed by the All-Star Shootout on Loudon Friday at 7 p.m.
Also included in the schedule is the “King of Beers 150” from Thompson, scheduled to air on Friday Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. The combination race at Bristol for the Whelen Northern and Southern Tour will air on that same night at 9 p.m.
Thursday Sept. 1 shows a stop at Riverhead Raceway on NBCSN at 7 p.m., followed by the second New Hampshire 100 lap event on Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. The final two races of the 2016 season will also air on tape delay.
Stafford’s Fall Finale will be shown on Thursday Oct. 6 at 12:30 p.m., and the season finale race at Thompson’s World Series will air on Friday Oct. 21 at 1 p.m., five days after the event is live on the track.
Whelen Southern Tour Showcased
The first event is scheduled to air on Friday Aug. 26 at 11 a.m., followed by the Bristol combination race at 8 p.m. that same day. On Friday Sept. 23, South Boston Speedway will be shown at 2 p.m. The final race on tape delay, the season finale at Charlotte’s .25-mile oval, will air on Friday Oct. 14 at 3:30 p.m.
