THOMPSON, Conn. —
Defending NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Rookie of the Year Chase Dowling paced the only practice session on Wednesday at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.
Dowling toured the 5/8 mile Thompson oval with a fast time of 18.887 seconds (119.130 mph) behind the wheel of his No. 9 S&S Asphalt Paving modified. He is in search of his first career series victory tonight in the Bud King of Beers 150.
