WINCHESTER, N.H. —

Timmy Solomito captured his third NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour victory of the season on Sunday at Monadnock Speedway.

In the running of the Dunleavy’s 200, a race sponsored by Doug Dunleavy and his company Dunleavy Truck and Trailer Repair, Solomito started from the pole position and never looked back — leading all of the 200 lap distance behind the wheel of his No. 16.

It was the third victory of the season for the Islip, New York driver in a race that was postponed to Sunday after heavy rain hit the Winchester, New Hampshire area when the tour was scheduled to run on Saturday evening.

Rowan Pennink was able to collect his best finish of the season, a second, behind the wheel of the BRE Racing No. 3 after charging through the bottom of the top-five late in the race. Jimmy Blewett, behind the wheel of the Starrett Tools Mystic Missile, captured a third place run — his best of the season.

Eric Goodale and Justin Bonsignore crossed the stripe behind the top-three, rounding out the balance of the top-five. Defending series champion Doug Coby was sixth, with Max Zachem in seventh. Woody Pitkat, Rob Summers and Donny Lia rounded out the top-10.

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour returns to action next at Stafford Motor Speedway on Friday August 5, a place Doug Coby has already visited victory lane twice at so far in 2016.
