Slip Angle Motorsports (SAM) has officially announced a three-car fulltime driver roster for the 2015 NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series (NPAS) season.

After a largely successful inaugural season for the team in 2014, two-time NPAS champion Ray Alfalla will return to the controls of the No. 2 Ford Fusion as the lead driver out of the SAM stable. Alfalla scored two wins in 2014, including a victory at the prestigious Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and remains the NPAS’ all-time wins leader with 13 checkered flags to his credit since the series’ inception in 2010.

Bryan Blackford returns to SAM driving the No. 33 for his second season following a gritty 2014 campaign in which the veteran sim-racer overcame severe burns and a right-arm fracture, sustained in a karting accident last August, to post a 13th-place result in the final points standings. The top-20 effort locked Blackford into the 2015 NPAS field, allowing him the full off-season to continue recovering from his injuries.

New to the SAM fleet for 2015 is the No. 55 ProGeek Consulting entry driven by NPAS veteran Brian Schoenburg. Schoenburg most recently scored a sixth-place effort in the NASCAR iRacing.com Pro Series to lock himself into the 2015 NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series field. “The Show”, as he is known by fans, has competed in every NPAS season since the series’ inception in 2010, but is still searching for his elusive first series win.

Alfalla and Blackford return as two of the team’s founding drivers, while SAM’s third founding pilot, Byron Daley, moves to defending championship team The Drill Aisle (formerly JScho Motorsports) for the 2015 campaign.

“Slip Angle Motorsports has made a lot of progress during the off-season,” team owner Lisa Pineda said in a team statement. “After several great additions to our solid founding members, we’re ready to compete for the NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series championship again.”

“2015 looks be a historical year for Slip Angle, not just in sim racing, but as we look towards physical-world racing too. All of our drivers have the skills it takes for physical-world racing, and we will do more this coming year. However, right now — we’re looking forward to a fun and successful 2015 season and we can’t wait to get it kicked off at Daytona!”
