The North East Mini Stock Tour (NEMST) has released their 2016 schedule — one that includes headline events as part of the Oxford 250 weekend and three stops at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.
The season will start with an opening weekend at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, New Hampshire as part of the Governor’s Cup in combination with the American Canadian Tour. Toby Wells dominated the two events at the 3/8 mile in 2015 behind the wheel of his No. 2 machine.
The NEMST will close out the month of April on the Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park Road Course on April 30, before making a stop at Speedway 95 in Maine on May 15.
The first and only stop at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl on Saturday June 4 will prepare the series for their first stop at Oxford Plains Speedway, scheduled for Saturday June 18, joining the Pro All Star Series Super Late Models.
NEMST will hold an event on Independence Day weekend — though the venue has not been decided at this point. A second stop at Thompson, this time on the oval track, will take place during a special Saturday night event at Thompson on July 9.
A race at Claremont Speedway on July 29 will be followed the following week by a race at Speedway 51 in Groveton, New Hampshire. The series will then take a few weeks off from action, preparing for arguably their biggest stage of the season.
They will be a part of feature afternoon at Oxford Plains Speedway, joining the stars of the Pro All Star Series Super Late Models and the Oxford 250 Sunday.
A second race at Speedway 51 on Saturday Sept. 10 will be followed by a month off before the championship weekend at Thompson as part of the Sunoco World Series. Heat racing action will take place on Saturday Oct. 14, with the feature on Sunday Oct. 15.
