WOODHULL, NY — Official Release — It is hard to believe that the 2014 season at the Woodhull Raceway will come to end next weekend,September 26th, and 27th as Maple City Dodge, of Hornell, and Costy Energy Services, of Mansfield, presents the 5th annual Bull Ring Challenge. Fans from all over the Southern Tier, and Greater Pennsylvania will gather for what will be one of the biggest racing weekends ever held at the historic 1/3 mile oval.

The Friday night show will be highlighted by a 50 Lap, $1000 to win show for GRIT Sportsman series, an event last year that brought over 40 Crate Sportsmen and was won by Mike Jackson. Also on tap for the Friday night show will be 360 Late Models, open Street Stocks, as well as 4 cylinders. There will also be Test and Tune sessions throughout the night for the Big Block/ Small Block Modified’s.

Then on Saturday night, the very popular RUSH Crate Late Models will be in action as they plan on to put a 30 lap, $1500 to win show, as there will be drivers expecting to come from Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and of course New York State. Back in action again will be 602 Crate Sportsman, the Open Street Stocks, and Four Cylinders.

Highlighting the show will be a 50 lap, $3000 to win event for the open Big Block/Small Block Modified’s. Track Owner Ted White Anticipates a strong field of Modified’s to attend as there is not another Modified race within 150 Miles of the Speedway.

Another reason to anticipate a strong field of Modified’s for next Saturday is that the winner of the 50 lap event will not only walk away with a $3000 check, but the winner will also automatically qualify themselves into the Short Track Super Nationals, held at I-88 Speedway, paying $5000 to the winner and $600 to start. That event is scheduled for October 11th in Afton, New York.

Admission price for the Friday night show is $12.00, with the pit admission being $25.00. Saturday night, General Admission is $15.00, with the pit admission being $35.00. Camping is available and free all weekend. It is a show you do not want to miss.
