From the Seekonk Speedway 1/3 mile short track one week, to the 1.5 mile Chicagoland Speedway the next.

New England and Massachusetts front-runner John Lowinski Jr. has been called upon by Lira Motorsports to make the start behind the wheel of the No. 38 Auto Go Ford Fusion this coming Saturday evening.

The start will be Lowinski’s third career and second of the 2015 racing season. All have come behind the wheel of a Lira Motorsports ride.

In his other 2015 start, Lowinski finished 33rd at Daytona International Speedway, the first race of the season, due to a broken oil line.  He also has run at Kansas Speedway in 2014, in a race where he came across the stripe 10th.

“This one is a big race for me. I love Kansas and I am excited for this race,” Lowinski Jr. told Race Chaser Online on Wednesday.

“It’s a brand new car with a brand new motor and our goal is to if not win the race to finish with a solid top five. I have to thank my parents, Lira Motorsports, Auto Go, Momo, Ford Performance Parts and also my fans, friends and family for all their support.”

Lowinski has run multiple races thus far this season at Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, Massachusetts as part of the Late Model class in a car he bought from Taylor Martin Racing. He has finished a best of 5th on Saturday May 30, a night where he drove through the field to the front late in the event.

“This is only the beginning of what is going to be an amazing journey in my life with hopefully lots of success. I keep my faith everyday no matter how rough it is and it gives me the strength to get here and stay here.”

He also has competed at Thomspon Speedway Motorsports Park in the Late Model division in 2015, finishing in seventh on Wednesday night June 10.

The Scotts 150 from Chicagoland Speedway can be seen live on Fox Sports 2 beginning at 6 P.M. EST on Saturday.
