OXFORD, Maine — official series release —

The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Oxford Plains 150 at the Oxford Plains Speedway has been postponed due to impending inclement weather.

The event has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 25, meaning the classic championship battle shaping up between New Hampshire veterans Wayne Helliwell Jr. and Joey Polewarczyk Jr. will go on hold temporarily. Helliwell currently holds a 17-point margin over Pole, with each driver winning three events so far on the 2015 season.

ACT next sets its sights on the International 500 at Airborne Park Speedway in Plattsburgh, N.Y. July 18-19. The doubleheader between the ACT Late Models and the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models will feature twin 200-lap features with more than $110,000 in posted awards.

Drivers around the region including Helliwell, Pole, 8-time ACT Champion Brian Hoar and two-time Thunder Road Champion Nick Sweet, along with PASS standouts Ben and Mike Rowe, Johnny Clark and Joey Doiron, have already entered the Plattsburgh event.
