BARRE, Vt. – official release — The 52nd running of the People’s United Bank Milk Bowl at Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl this weekend has been postponed due to forecasted rain.
The entire weekend schedule from Friday, Oct. 3 through Sunday, Oct. 5 has been postponed and rescheduled for Friday, Oct. 10 through Sunday, Oct. 12.
“The Milk Bowl is a two-day show and with the weather looking like a complete washout for Saturday’s qualifying and lingering showers Sunday morning, the integrity of the biggest race of the season is jeopardized if we try to make it a one-day show,” said Thunder Road co-owner and promoter Tom Curley.
More than 40 American Canadian Tour late model teams are expected to be in attendance for the biggest race of the season. The Bond Auto Tiger Sportsman and Allen Lumber Street Stocks will also be in action as they finish off their 2014 seasons.
