SALEM, Ind. – official track release —
The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour late models return to Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery on June 20 for the John Jones Auto Group Midwest 150.
Topping the list of early entrants for the only late model race of the season at Salem is former track champion and local favorite, Chuck Barnes Jr. of Louisville. Barnes, a 21-time race winner on the Salem high banks, finished third in the 2014 John Jones Auto Group 100 after posting quick time during qualifications.
The second generation driver, who has visited victory lane 11 times in late model competition at Salem, is a former Salem Speedway late model (2006) and Lucas Oil Great American Stock (1993-2000) track champion. He is also a past CRA Super Series champion (2004) and former winner in ARCA Racing Series competition.
Other top drivers expected for the 2015 edition of the John Jones Auto Group 100 include Dalton Armstrong of New Castle, Ind., Kody Evans of Camden, Ohio, Corey Deuser of Georgetown, Ind., Marc Jacobs of London, Ont., Cole Rouse of Fort Smith, Ark., Josh Nelms of Lockport, Ill., and Jaxson Jacobs of London, Ont., among others.
Joining the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour at Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery will be the Lucas Oil Great American Stocks, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Pure Stocks and the Portland Recycling Front Wheel Drive Stocks.
