ARCA: Cunningham Plans Triple-Play for Final Three ARCA Races

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – official release – ARCA/Cunningham Motorsports photo — Cunningham Motorsports plans to have three cars in each of the final three races of the 2014 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season.

Tom Hessert and Austin Wayne Self will be in Cunningham cars for all three races. Both are in the top-10 in the ARCA Racing Series driver point standings, with Hessert in fourth and Self in sixth. Self is leading the SCOTT Rookie Challenge standings.

Anderson Bowen will step into a third Cunningham car at Salem Speedway for the Federated Car Care ARCA Fall Classic presented by JayC Foods on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Bowen won the Alabama 200 at Montgomery Motor Speedway Saturday night in Alabama in a super late model. He has three starts in the ARCA Racing Series so far this season, including a fourth-place at Mobile and, most recently, a sixth-place finish at Madison International Speedway.

The No. 72 American Messaging/WindStax Dodge will switch pilots when the teams pull into Kentucky Speedway for the ZLOOP 150, where Brandon Gdovic will sit behind the wheel. The 22-year-old from Yorktown, Virginia will make his ARCA debut at the track. Gdovic is currently running select races in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE), in addition to the Whelen All American Series. He has one NKNPSE victory, in 2013 at Greenville Pickens Speedway.

Gdovic will also race in the ARCA 98.9 at Kansas Speedway Oct 3, the final race of the season. He tested at Kansas Speedway during the ARCA open test Sept. 3.
