Kingsport, Tn. – Aug. 19, 2013 – Audio by Marshall Gabell for TheRacingFans.com – Story by RaceChaser Online Senior Editor Tom Baker –

Chad Finchum has wrapped up the 2013 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model championship at Kingsport Speedway in Kingsport, Tn.  We wanted to talk with him about his accomplishment and where he goes from here.

We had insider information that 14-year-old Marshall Gabell, (who started a site on his own called TheRacingFans.com to practice his budding media craft) was going to interview him and we had begun to do some “testing” with Marshall in preparation for his first “race” with us “chasers” at some point down the road because we appreciated his raw talent and desire to succeed in motorsports media.

We collaborated with Marshall on format and questions earlier today and he did what we felt was a really nice job for his first ever recorded audio interview so we’re pleased to present that here for RaceChaser Nation to enjoy.

This is what RaceChaser is all about folks – helping short-trackers and young talent gain exposure and grow on the track and in the media.  We’re proud of our “young one” (Marshall) as we are of the other members of our staff who work so hard to cover so much ground every week on our site.

We’re excited for Chad and his team as well. He’s a true talent behind the wheel and deserving of the championship title.  Chad was pretty excited also, because he gave us a ton of information and took a few liberties with the “quick” in the “Five Quick Questions”!

We hope you will take the time to listen to the interview and leave Marshall (and Chad!) some “encouragement” in the comments section because we believe that both young men have a bright future in their respective areas of our beloved sport.
