SPARTA, Ky. – Ryan Blaney used pit strategy to get to the head of the field and stay there Saturday afternoon at Kentucky Speedway, winning the second stage of the NASCAR XFINITY Series Alsco 300.

Blaney stayed out under the first stage break and led every competitive lap of Stage 2 following the restart on lap 52, beating Stage 1 winner Erik Jones to the green-checkered flag by .921 of a second.

The stage win was Blaney’s third of the XFINITY Series season, all coming in Stage 2, and he has finished no worse than fifth in the XFINITY Series so far this season.

A caution-free second stint saw Jones chase Blaney to the line after passing teammate Kyle Busch midway through the run.

Busch came across the line third ahead of Kevin Harvick and Paul Menard, making for a sweep of the top five by Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series regulars.

JR Motorsports teammates William Byron and Justin Allgaier were sixth and seventh, respectively, with Joey Logano, Tyler Reddick and Brennan Poole completing the points-scoring drivers in the top 10.
