Jolliet, Ill– A driver change will be made before the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 400 from Chicagoland Speedway, the first round of the chase in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
Regan Smith, driver of the No.7 Tommy Baldwin Racing entry will not be in the car today, as flew back in Charlotte early Sunday morning for the birth of his second child. Replacing Smith, will be XFINITY series driver, Ty Dillon.
Dillon, who qualified for the NXS chase, is also no stranger to the Cup cars. Having 15 career total starts and eight this season, he has driven for the Levine-Family Racing team, as well as substituted for Tony Stewart earlier this season when Stewart broke his back.
