(Douglasville, Ga.) August 7, 2013 – Super Late Model rookie Mason Massey and his team are busy finishing up preparations for this weekend’s World Crown 300 at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Georgia. The team is excited to get to the track and optimistic about their potential.

“We’re really looking forward to this weekend,” said Mason’s crew chief Josh Hamner.  “This is Mason’s home track and it’s a track he likes.  We’ve had some problems with Mother Nature so we haven’t had the track time yet that we’d hoped for but our first few shows have been very positive so we’re pumped to see what we can do this weekend.”

Mason, fresh off a meet and greet at the Atlanta Arts Academy talking with inner city youth about his faith and his racing, is equally excited about getting back on the track.

“I’m really excited to get to the World Crown 300 this weekend,” the 16-year-old said.  “This is a race that everyone wants to win.  I haven’t had a lot of time in the car but I believe that with Josh calling the shots and the rest of my team behind me we can run well.  We’re going to go, give it our best shot and see what we can learn!”
