GASTONIA, NC (July 26) – Track PR – RaceChaser Photo/Audio – A capacity crowd cheered on one of their favorites on Friday night as Dallas, NC resident Jeff Smith dominated the 30 lap main event to score the $2,000 win in the Southeastern Late Model Series debut at Carolina Speedway.
Smith shared the front row with fast qualifier Jay Sessoms. As the green waved Smith jumped to the point and never looked back. Piloting a car normally driven by Derrick Gilchrist, Smith was never seriously challenged throughout the main event. Timbo Mangum charged hard to take second with Sessoms, Ben Watkins and Jonathan Edwards.
