YORK, PA — Story and Audio by Race Chaser Online New York Correspondent Steven Ovens — Tony De Sato Photo — Logan Schuchart and the Shark Racing Team has probably made it further along on the World of Outlaws schedule then most gave them credit for in the off-season.
To be fair, the season didn’t start off on a very good note. Motor troubles, fuel pickup problems and handling problems found their way into the Shark chassis 1s early on in the 2014 season. However, the struggles have also been met with moments of brilliance.
2 Top 5’s and 6 Top 10’s tell the story so far for the driver originally from Hanover, PA but now resides in York, PA. The Top 5 finishes were pretty impressive in their own right. Schuchart led the first 22 laps of the A-Main at Thunderbowl Speedway before eventual winner Daryn Pittman snuck by.
When the tour thundered into Charlotte for racing action at the Dirt Track at Charlotte, Schuchart again showed just how strong they can be. The race between Logan and Donny Schatz was absolutely incredible. If you haven’t seen it definitely go to YouTube and check out the highlights.
Not only is Schuchart running better, the momentum seems to be swinging over to teammate Jacob Allen as well. Although Allen hasn’t performed quite as well as Schuchart, he has still accumulated a Top 10 this season and has recently been making more A-Mains.
Logan Schuchart sat down with us to talk about how 2014 has been progressing and what they look forward to in the weeks to come. They are currently on a 2 month stretch where they will be constantly running up and down the road chasing the grueling World of Outlaw STP Sprint Car schedule.
