Gaffney, S.C. (June 8, 2013) – “Downtown” Michael Brown had a magic day on Saturday with the Travis Blackwell owned No. 27, qualifying fastest, winning the heat race and leading flag-to-flag to pick up his second Crate Late Model feature win of the year with the Barry Wright Racing Chassis.  After the race, Brown was understandably elated.

“This was an awesome night,” he smiled.  “This Blackwell Motorsports car just ran like a top all night long.  All I had to do was not make mistakes.  I can’t thank Travis and Chastin Blackwell enough for letting me race for them and all the guys on the team and our sponsors for everything they do.  This win is for them!”

Brown has now won three races this year, two in the Blackwell car and one in his own Rocket Chassis No. 06.  As to when or if the 06 will see further action, Brown is non-committal.  “My plan is to race as much as I can, whether it’s for Travis or in our own car,” Michael said.  “But my first responsibility is with my day job working for Hendrick Motorsports.  Right now I’m hoping to be racing every weekend but work will always come first. I love racing for Travis so as long as they’ll have me I’ll keep doing that and just race my car whenever the 0pportunity comes up.”
