September 10, 2013 – Carolina Speedway Promoter Clint Elkins is a busy man these days. In addition to his responsibilities at the Gastonia, N.C. dirt track, he has also fired up the proverbial “grill” on the 1st Annual King of the Carolinas race week October 24th -27th, and he’s part of the team that is bringing the CARS (Charlotte Auto Racing Show) Trade Show to life on December 5th through 7th in downtown Charlotte.
Somehow our Senior Editor Tom Baker caught Clint in a rare moment (when he was sitting still!) and got him to update us on how the season’s going at the track, how many drivers are chasing that $10,000 bonus for a driver who wins 3 of the 7 divisions at King of the Carolinas and how many people are expected to be coming to the CARS Show in December and some of the new activities for racers there.
You might want to buckle your seat belt for this audio – Clint talks fast!
