BROWNSTOWN, Ind. – Hall of Famer Steve Francis set the overall Miller Welders Fast Time on Friday night at Brownstown Speedway, in advance of the 47th annual Jackson 100.

Francis set the overall Miller Welders Fast Time among the 42 entrants, with a lap of 13.219 seconds in Group A. Cody Mahoney set the fastest time in Group B with a time of 13.535 seconds.

Heat race pole sitters for Saturday nights’ activities will be Francis, Jimmy Owens, Mahoney and Tim McCreadie.

All gates will open at noon on Saturday. There will be a Dirt Racing Outreach Service from 3:30-4:15 p.m., followed by a drivers autograph session from 4:30-5:15 p.m.

Hot laps will kick off at 6 p.m., followed by a full program of heat races, two B-Mains and the 100-lap, $20,000-to-win main event.
