MARNE, Mich. — Saturday’s Berlin Raceway program, featuring the Engine Pro Fast Car Slash for the Must See Racing Sprint Car Series, has been cancelled due to inclement weather forecasts carrying a 90% chance of thunderstorms.
“We know that an early morning decision is difficult and disappointing to all those hoping to be able to come out and enjoy or participate in tonight’s race, but it is our genuine best effort to do the right thing for everyone involved,” said Must See Racing President Jim Hanks.
“Whenever possible, we try to avoid having unnecessary lost time and travel expenses for both our race teams and valued fans. Based on a forecast that predicts rain and thunderstorms through the 5 p.m. hour on Saturday, it’s simply the best decision for everyone, most importantly the fans, to cancel rather than ignore the risk of probable bad weather.”
The series now looks ahead to its next scheduled race on Sunday, the Jerry Landon Klassic at Kalamazoo Speedway, which carries a much better weather outlook for race day.
