MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Grant Enfinger will become the ninth driver to take the reins of the Cunningham Motorsports No. 22 Ford this year when he joins the team for the General Tire Grabber 100 at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds on Sept. 4.

“I am really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of an ARCA car next week,” said Enfinger, who is the defending race winner at DuQuoin. “It’s great to know that I’ll be in great equipment, because I will be in Paul Andrews’ car.”

“The guys at Cunningham Motorsports have always been competitors on the track, but I definitely think there is a mutual respect there.  Those guys have a lot of speed this year.”

Enfinger will be teammates with the current championship leader Chase Briscoe, who will take a 510 point lead into the final dirt track race of the season.

“The Cunningham organization has a great shot at the championship with Chad (Bryant) and Chase (Briscoe) in the No. 77,” said Enfinger. “I also appreciate my bosses at GMS for letting me call in sick from my regular job with my truck team crewing duties to get in a great ride.”

Enfinger, the 2015 ARCA Racing Series champion, has won 15 races in 93 career ARCA starts and led 2,397 laps in that time.  This year Enfinger has made four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts, including last weekend’s Careers for Veterans 200 at Michigan Int’l Speedway, where he finished eighth.

In Enfinger’s lone ARCA Series start this season, he won the General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible200 at Pocono Raceway in June.
