MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — Due to persistent rain, the running of the Champion Racing Oil National Open at Williams Grove Speedway has been postponed to Friday, Oct. 14.

The event will become a one-day World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series event with a $25,000-to-win, $1,000-to-start payoff for the 40-lap feature. The start time will be 7:30 p.m. on race day.

Fans who hold tickets to the National Open can either exchange them or use them for the new rain date. All tickets will be refunded as per the back of each ticket, and this week’s camping passes will be honored on the rescheduled National Open date.

The joint National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF)/Eastern Museum of Motor Racing (EMMR) benefit auction will continue as planned on Saturday, rain or shine.

Meanwhile, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series resumes its regular schedule on Oct. 8 at Fulton Speedway, as part of NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week.
