JRM has fielded three cars in the season’s first five races. However, Texas will mark its first event with four entries. Drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr. (No. 88), Chase Elliott (No. 9), Kevin Harvick (No. 5) and Regan Smith (No. 7) will all race under the JRM banner at TMS.

Smith is currently tied for the Nationwide Series point lead with Trevor Bayne. In seven NNS starts at Texas, Smith’s best finishes have come behind the wheel of a JRM Chevrolet. With two starts to his credit with the team at the 1.5-mile track, he has earned finishes of seventh and sixth, respectively.

“Having some time to stop and hit the reset button is a positive thing,” Smith said heading into the weekend. “An off weekend is good for that. It certainly isn’t commonplace in this sport but it was a positive for our team. We’ve been clicking off top-10s since Phoenix, but we all know that isn’t going to be good enough. We can do much better.”

“Now is our time to regroup and refocus. Texas is a great track where we’ve had some success. The goal is to get back to running up front and winning races.”

Fans are invited to meet Smith for autographs at Kroger Store #542 in the Alliance Town Center (3300 Texas Sage Trail, Fort Worth, Texas) on Thursday from 2 p.m.—3 p.m. local time.
