July 26, 2013 — Michael Brown raced twice this weekend in two different cars and finished third in both.  The versatile racer scored third on Friday night at Cleveland County Speedway in Lawndale, N.C. with his own No. 06 before finishing in the same position on Saturday night at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, S.C. driving the Blackwell Motorsports No. 27.

“It was a pretty good weekend overall,” Michael said.  “Considering the fact that we qualified poorly at both tracks, I’m happy with third at both tracks.  Anytime you can run in the top five it’s a good night and we had to work to get there twice this weekend. Thanks to everyone who helps me with the cars and to all my supporters.  It was  fun couple of days!”

Michael was also happy that his Blackwell Motorsports Teammate got a win at Cherokee on Saturday.  “It’s always cool to see Chastin (Blackwell) win a race.  He’s young and he’s learning.  He definitely has talent.  He and his Dad are a lot of fun to race for and I’m always proud to drive their car.  I was really proud of Chastin tonight.”
