Ross Chastain will drive the No. 4 Chevrolet for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller, with sponsorship from Watermelon.org, in the 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series.

Chastain, 23, has four years of experience in the Camping World Truck Series and raced in seven XFINITY races last season, scoring a top 10 at Kentucky Speedway. The Alva, Fla. native ran the full Truck schedule in 2012, posting one top five and four top 10s. In 2013, he ran 14 Truck events, with four top fives and seven top 10s.

“Ross has an amazing level of experience for a young driver,” said team owner Johnny Davis. “He brings a lot to our team. We’re looking forward to seeing how far we can go this year with his input and the support of Watermelon.org and the National Watermelon Association. It’s going to be a big year.”

Chastain comes from a family deeply rooted in the agriculture industry. He has grown up working on his family’s vegetable farm, growing a variety of crops, with the last 15 years consisting of a strong footprint in the watermelon industry.

“It’s great to be involved with Watermelon.org, and we want to take them along for a great ride this year,” Chastain said. “I’m looking forward to working with Johnny and his guys and making a mark this year in the XFINITY Series.”
