NWAAS: Bonsignore, Hossfeld Lead Tour-Type Modified Practice Wednesday at New Smyrna

Justin Bonsignore and Chuck Hossfeld lead the two Tour Type Modified practice sessions on Wednesday in preparation for tonight’s Jimmy Blewett III Memorial 76 at New Smyrna Speedway’s World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing.

Bonsignore toured the oval in 17.418 seconds in the first session and was closely followed by two-time winner this week, Ryan Preece (17.514). Hossfeld was third in round one (17.518), with Eric Goodale fourth (17.677) and Spencer Davis completing the top five (17.825).

In the second and final practice session of the day, Hossfeld rocketed around the track at 17.331 seconds and was the fastest comer of all. Bonsignore followed in second (17.364) with Patrick Emerling third (17.495).

Action kicks-off at New Smyrna Speedway tonight at 7:30 p.m. local time. The modified feature is fifth in the schedule.
