Ryan Preece hopes his fast history at Stafford Speedway continues.
Preece was the fastest at practice Friday prior to the evening’s TSI Harley-Davidson 125, and will look to break his 2012 track qualifying record.
Preece’s No. 6 TS Haulers/East West Marine Chevrolet had a lap of 18.300 seconds (98.361 mph) around the half-mile, slightly-banked oval during the one hour practice session. Defending 2014 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Doug Coby finished in a close second with 18.370 seconds (97.986 mph).
Preece set the track qualifying record in 2012, with a lap of 17.924 seconds (100.424 mph).
Rowan Pennink, Bobby Santos and Todd Szegedy rounded out the top-five.
Qualifying for the TSI Harley-Davidson 125 is at 6 p.m. and the green flag is slated for 9:15 p.m.
