After a long and hard winter in the Northeast, the track known as the “Cement Palace” finally opened for practice on Saturday.

Seekonk Speedway saw over fifty cars pack the pit area for the first of two test and tune sessions of the season — which was six hours long.

Among the drivers in attendance, defending Pro Stock champion Kenny Spencer was back with his No. 0 Lin’s Propane ride practicing as he attempts to get back-to-back championships.  Spencer was among the fastest Pro Stock drivers of the day.

Multiple drivers also showed off new paint schemes and new rides for their first time on track in 2015.

Rey Lovelace, defending Sim’s Street Stock champion, brought out a new body with new colors on board his No. 14 as he comes into the season as the favorite to repeat.

Here are the drivers who appeared on Saturday:

NASCAR Pro Stocks:

Ryan Lineham, Rick Martin, Kyle Casper, David Darling, Angelo Belsito, Ryan Vanasse, Freddy Astle, Kenny Spencer III, Mike Mitchell, Tom Scully Jr., David Hutchins Sr., George Kourafas, Mike Brightman, Kevin Casper, Robert Hussey, Dick Houlihan, Jake Vanada, Mike Sullivan.

Seekonk Speedway opens their 70th season of racing on Sunday May 3 with the Pro Stocks headlining NASCAR Whelen All American Series action.
