AUDIO/QUALIFYING: Jeff Gordon Wins 75th Career Cup Pole at The Glen on Son Leo’s Birthday

WATKINS GLEN, NY — Story and Audio by Race Chaser Online New York Correspondent Steven Ovens — Photo By Brad Ovens — Jeff Gordon has been not only consistent but winning this season with his #24 team for Hendrick Motorsports.

They turned that consistency and confidence into a Coors Light Pole winning effort on Saturday by winning the pole for Sunday’s Cheez-It 355 at The Glen.  Gordon would beat out Marcos Ambrose for the pole with a lap of 68.126 seconds, 129.466 mph.  Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch rounded out the Top 5 when the round of 12 drivers was complete.
