Drivers and Fans alike may now make their plans for this summer at Freedom Motorsports Park with rules and a tentative schedule being released.  The class lineup remains mostly unchanged from previous years with the RUSH Late Models, Yellow Jacket Towing Sportsman Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Pure Stocks all returning.

New for 2015, the Danny Heineman and Sons Four Cylinder division will be split into Front Wheel Drive and Rear Wheel Drive in an effort to provide a more level playing field among all cars in the class.

The race season on the 1/3 mile oval will kick off on May 1 with a test and tune day followed the next week,May 8, by the 2015 Season Opener featuring all divisions.  The first special event of the season will feature a RUSH Late Model Touring Series race on June 5.

Freedom’s strong local late model contingent will be looking to defend home turf against a host of invaders.  The 2014 edition of this event saw Stoystown, PA driver Chad McClellan pull off a late race pass for the win.  June 26 will be the first of four visits by the NY6A 600cc Micro Sprints.  The Freedom Motorsports Park oval is regarded by many micro sprint racers as one of the best race tracks for the division to compete on.

The GRIT Racing Series for Sportsman Modifieds will make its first ever appearance at Freedom in a special Thursday night event on July 2.  The GRIT Series brings together the best Sportsman Modified racers from across NY and is sure to be a great show.

July 10 will be a “Night of Wings” featuring both the fan-favorite Patriot Sprint Tour as well as the championship event for NY6A Speed Week.  Little Valley’s Jared “The Juice” Zimbardi stomped the competition in 2014’s Patriot Tour event in front of a packed grandstand.  The season will come to a close with Championship Night on September 11.
