Everyone is well aware that Mother Nature hasn’t exactly been friendly to area racetracks, their fans and competitors in the month of May.

That trend continues and due to the projected forecast for this Sunday, May 22, Evergreen Raceway has decided to cancel their show for the afternoon.

The Tour Type Modifieds were on the card for round number two of what was originally supposed to be a seven race series. With the show cancelled in its entirety, it will now be a six race series with the next Tour Type Modified event being on the schedule for Sunday, June 19.

Evergreen Raceway will be back in action next Sunday, May 29 with the Evergreen Modifieds, Dirt Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Street Stocks and Four Cylinders, plus a Street Stock Powder Puff event and big wheel races for the kids. The Evergreen Modifieds will also run the make-up feature from May 15.

Grandstand admission is just $8. Children 10 years of age and younger are admitted for free with a paying adult. Veterans will be admitted into the grandstand area for free (must show valid ID).

The pit gate will swing open at 10:30 AM and the pit entrance fee is $30 with a pit license or $40 without. Practice will kick off at 12:30 PM and heat races will begin at 2 PM. The grandstand gates will open at 11:00 AM.
