CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — official track release — ESS photo —
Canandaigua Motorsports Park promoter Jeremie Corcoran announced Friday that the track will host the SUNY Canton Empire Super Sprints on July 2 as part of CNY Speedweeks — with a twist — as the Empire Super Sprints and Patriot Sprint Tour battle it out for 360 sprint car supremacy.
The two tours will converge on CMP for a combination event highlighting the best of both worlds — including defending ESS champion Steve Poirier and defending PST titlist Jared Zimbardi along with a host of other challengers!
In addition, the Mighty Big-Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series (SDS) will also be on the race card then as well. This will be the second of two shows for the SDS at the “Land of Legends” in 2015. The first event will be May 20.
The July 2 date on the SDS schedule was originally scheduled as the Stars and Stripes 100 at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in Elbridge, N.Y., before being moved to CMP.
