Brandon Jones will make his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start of the 2016 season on Friday, driving the No. 71 AAA Chevy Silverado.
The race will mark Jones’ third NCWTS race at Dover International Speedway. After recording his first career top-five finish in the NCWTS at the track in 2014, Jones has since solidified a sixth-place average finishing position on the concrete oval.
“Dover’s been a good track to me in the past, and I’m looking forward to getting there this weekend with our AAA team,” Jones said. “We had a good race there in 2014 in the Truck Series and came close to winning a couple K&N East races there too. It’s been a busy couple of weeks to get ready for our first doubleheader of the season, but I think it’ll be a great opportunity to have that extra seat time and I’m looking forward to a good weekend.”
Jones will debut a new partnership with AAA during Friday’s Truck start at Dover. With a red-white-and-blue paint scheme, Jones will carry AAA logos across his Chevy Silverado.
AAA is a leader in keeping drivers on the road, with the nation’s fastest roadside response times and trained teams at Car Care Centers around the country, ensuring your car runs smoothly and efficiently.
In addition to running the AAA Chevrolet Silverado, Jones will also be racing the No. 33 Chevrolet Military Discount Camaro for Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) on Saturday afternoon. A full-time competitor in the XFINITY ranks, Jones is currently ranked sixth in the series’ championship standings and second in Rookie of the Year points.
