(Syracuse, NY)  Well 360 Sprint Car fans, the ESS schedule has finally hit the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprint website.  The 2014 schedule is filled with ESS staples, some new venues and some returning events that have stepped up in a big way for 2014.

The 31st season for the popular Northeast 360 Sprint Tour will unofficially kick off with an always-stunning booth at the 2014 Motorsports Expo & Trade Show at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY on March 8th and 9th.

The racing season will kick off with the Mach 1 Chassis Spring Fling on Saturday April 12th at the Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, PA.  That will feature a $3,000 to win A-Main and will not award any points for the Lucas Oil ESS tour.

Points paying race #1 will be run at the Can-Am Motorsports Park in LaFargeville, NY on Friday April 25th.  The next day, the stars and cars of the ESS tour will travel to Akwesasne, NY to the Mohawk International Raceway.  They will co-headline the Atomic Spring Clash that day with the Go Nuclear! Late Model Series who will run 2 days worth of events- splitting the headlines with ESS and the Sportsman Modifieds.

As for things that have not changed, the Utica-Rome Speedway will feature the series 3 times during the summer on their usual Holiday Weekend locations (5/25, 7/6 & 8/31).  August 31st will serve as the ‘Cole Cup Tuneup’- a regular season points night that falls one week before the $10,000 to win Cole Cup that pays ESS regulars show up points.

Speaking of the Cole Cup, I’ll let that $10,000 winner’s prize sink in for a minute.  Caught your breath yet?  Now throw in some of the top 360 drivers in the country put up against the best of the Lucas Oil ESS and you have a recipe for an incredible event.  In fact, last year’s event pulled in 52 360 sprints on a weekend that saw just dreadful weather.  I would expect 60-70 cars this year if not more.

If all of that isn’t enough to push-start your direct-drives, let’s take a look at the return of SUNY Canton CNY Speedweek.  5 nights of 360 Sprint Car racing in a row that starts Wednesday July 2nd at Brewerton Speedway, works its way to Rolling Wheels, Can-Am Motorsports Park, the Fulton Speedway and wraps up Sunday July 6th at Utica-Rome.  A grueling week that boasts a lot of action, tests both man and machine and sees many teams ‘camping out’ at fellow CNY drivers’ homes.

A brand new date and venue added to this year’s tour is the ‘Sprint Car Saturday’ event taking place at the Thunder Mountain Speedway in Center Lisle, NY on Saturday August 30th.  This is a co-promotion between Brett Deyo Motorsports Media and the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints.
