After a number of months working with the new management team at the Rolling Wheels Raceway Park, Rich Vleck and Mike Emhof have elected not to proceed forward with the speedway, effective immediately.
Vleck and Emhof were announced as part of RWR back in November 2014 as Media Director and Director of Racing Operations, respectively. Before that time, the pair had also assisted with planning for the Elbridge, New York facility.
“This was not an easy decision and one that took a lot of thought,” said Vleck of the collective decision. “This was an intriguing opportunity that we took very seriously and wanted nothing but the best for the fans, the teams and for Rolling Wheels, but ultimately this was the decision we had to make at this time.”
Both will continue with their lead positions with the Patriot Sprint Tour, with 26 touring dates across New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Ontario in 2015. Vleck will also continue to operate Hot Wings Media, producing dirt racing for television while Emhof will continue to sell sprint car chassis and parts through the Mike Emhof Motorsports brand.

I’ve tried to comment twice now, but it appears that you guys don’t want to deal with the issues the fans are having, that were never addressed. Pretty unprofessional. This stuff is what is slowly killing our sport and closing tracks. Oh well, there’s others to support. Not wasting any more of my time with RWR.
There have several attempts to make a go of this track previously. None have succeeded. What makes you think you will be able to persevere?
So is the Wheels still gonna run more shows
As far as we know, James. It will be interesting to see how it all works out.
