Could anyone dream of having a better racing season than Nick Lascuola had in 2014?

Lascuola collected 14 checkered flags in Seekonk Speedway’s Nick’s Pit Stop Legends division and was the dominant car week in and week out– no questions asked.

When fans showed up to the track on Friday night, it was all about who would be racing for second, because they knew the youngster was most likely headed to Everett’s Auto Parts Victory Lane.

He broke records at Seekonk last year, including one for the most consecutive wins to start off a season in one division, a mark he is truly pleased to have broken.

Not only did he dominate the Legends division, Lascuola also fared extremely well as a rookie in a tough Seekonk Late Model class.

He collected multiple top-five finishes and came close to feature wins on more than one occasion.

It appeared Lascuola had a few wins in the bag during the season, only to have mechanical or part failures cost him the chance.

“2014 could only be described as a dream season.  We started out right out of the gate strong.” Lascuola told Race Chaser Online in an exclusive interview.

For 2015, Nick’s main focus will turn from Legends and Late Models to Super Late Models in part-time competition on the Pro All Star Series North Touring Series.

“This year we decided to move up from the Late Models and we are actually going to be running 10 PASS North Tour races,” Lascuola said.

Lascuola also plans to also compete part-time at Seekonk Speedway in the Pro Stock division, especially in the Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series.  He collected the 2014 Triple Crown Series championship in the Legends class.

The Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series is a three-race series in which each Seekonk division has extra laps and double points up on the line.  The track has partnered with Phil Viverios of Phil’s Propane in Tiverton, Rhode Island for the third consecutive season to put on the series.

As it is with any race team, the sponsors are a huge part of the game for Lascuola and his team.  Without his family, his race team and corporate partners such as Champion Spark Plugs and Nick’s Pit Stop, none of his success in any division would be possible.

Three new marketing partners have joined Nick for his 2015 campaign, including Joe’s Racing Products, Melvin’s Tire Pros and Auto Service Centers and Seacoast Creative Solutions.  “We’re thankful for their enthusiasm and support as we take our biggest step yet,” Nick said.  “We’re ready for the snow to melt so we can go racing!”

Watch out New England race fans.  This kid is going somewhere— and going there faster than anyone could have ever imagined.
