Schuyler Racing, out of the small but friendly town of Himrod, NY, announced that Adam Depuy will drive the Schuyler Racing #99 for the 2014 BRP CanAm tour.  Depuy is a driver who has had a lot of success on local dirt tracks such as Raceway 5, Canandaigua Motorsports Park and the Weedsport Speedway.

Although Depuy has driven a late model before, this will be his first time following the whole tour.  The Schuyler team is no stranger to the BRP Tour and is a well-respected team on tour for their commitment to the series and late model racing for many years.  In fact, it’s hard to determine if the smile was bigger on Depuy or Schuyler’s face at their race party last Saturday at the Himrod Fire Department.

This announcement is an important one, as the BRP tour will face many changes in its landscape this season.  Some late model drivers have chosen the Crate late model path in 2014 that will surely have an effect on who runs the BRP tour.

The BRP tour will see a switch of importance from just tour points to a combination of home track points and tour points deciding the 2014 Tour Champion.
