Kelly Hebing is living her racing dreams these days.

Race Chaser Online and Turn 5 Live first spoke with Kelly a couple seasons ago and have had the opportunity to interview her and follow her progress as not only a 305 Sprint Car driver, but now also as an up and coming graphic designer. When you talk to her, you can tell that there is a fire in her belly to race as much as she can as she prepares for the 2015 season.

Hebing is now on staff at Pilat Graphic Design — one of the leaders when it comes to racing graphics in the Northeast. In fact, Hebing’s booth with her SUNY Canton No. 10 won Best of Show this past weekend at Motorsports Expo 2015 in Syracuse, N.Y.

Just like in her budding racing career, Kelly’s dad Chuck was proudly by her side helping her design and build this year’s booth. They broke away from the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints booth this year to build their own booth that would feature the Evans Mills Speedway — hosting the ESS Kevin Ward Jr. Memorial Asphalt Assault.

2014 was a season of continued improvement for the younger Hebing, which saw Kelly pick up her first career win at the Fulton Speedway in front of her family, friends and sponsor SUNY Canton.  Hebing notes that she loves traveling with her parents to races on the ESS and PST schedule but what she really wants to do in 2015 is stay home more to race her own sprint car.

She is a semi-regular competitor at the Canandaigua Motorsports Park and has been painfully close to that first career win at “The Land of Legends”, and there are many who believe that first Canandaigua win is going to happen in 2015.

Hebing is quick to mention the supporters of her racing efforts like SUNY Canton, who returns for 2015, and Danny Willmes Enterprises — the first to give Hebing a shot at getting behind the wheel of a full-size sprint car.  She pointed out in a recent audio interview that Willmes helped them put some new “smoke under the hood”. In short, Kelly Hebing loves racing.

Also returning to support Hebing in 2015 are L&J Landscaping, Cook’s Plumbing, Heating & Hardware, Cobra Coaches and Pilat Graphic Design. A new sponsor for the team during the 2015 season is Jessica Zemken-Friesen and Stewart Friesen’s new company ‘One Zee Tees’, based out of Sprakers, N.Y.

Buckle up as Kelly Hebing sits down to talk sprint cars, Motorsports Expo and life as a driver and graphic designer:
