ELK RIVER, Minn. – official series release —

TORC: The Off-Road Racing Championships and ERX Motorpark in Elk River, Minn., have announced plans to build a new off-road racing track to host the TORC series July 16-17.

The track is located only 40 minutes from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro Area providing convenient access for fans and major media outlets.

“We are thrilled to be hosting a TORC Event at ERX in 2016,” said Chris Carlson, co-owner of ERX. “This event aligns perfectly with our vision for ERX, and we’re committed to creating a world-class experience for the drivers and the fans. TORC is recognized as a premier short course off-road truck racing organization and we’re honored to be partnering with them for a national event next year.”

The track at ERX is currently under construction and is sure to be one of the most challenging tracks on the TORC Series with extensive elevation changes, high-banked corners offering multiple race lines and well drained soils for a fast consistent race surface. ERX is committed to providing a unique race track, which will be quickly recognized by racers and fans as a favorite on the TORC Series. Thousands of fans will also enjoy fantastic visibility of the entire track as it will be located in a natural amphitheater.
