McReynolds showed he knows the quick way around Iowa Speedway.
The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West driver posted the fasted time over the two one-hour practice sessions Saturday in preparation for the evening’s Casey’s General Store 150.
McReynolds, making his third start at the .875-mile asphalt tri-oval in the combination race with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West, had a quick lap in the No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota of 24.167 seconds (130.343 mph).
NASCAR K&N Pro Series East veteran Scott Heckert was second fastest at 24.220 (130.058), followed by East Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender William Byron at 24.289 (129.688).
Jesse Little and rookie JJ Haley were fourth and fifth, respectively.
Austin Hill, Rico Abreu, Kyle Benjamin, Nick Drake and David Mayhew rounded out the top 10. Haley also led the first practice with a time that was seventh quick overall.
Qualifying for the Casey’s General Store 150 is slated for 7 p.m. ET and the green flag is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET.
