MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Short track young guns Tyler Dayton, Daniel Wilk and Matthew Davey joined the Race Chaser Online crew as the 136th episode of Motorsports Madness aired live from The Pushcart in Mooresville, N.C. on Monday night.
The New York hot dog restaraunt opened its doors to hosts Jacob Seelman, Tom Baker, James Pike and Rence Brown as the spoke with Dayton, the 2015 Hickory Motor Speedway Super Truck champion and current division points leader; Wilk, who just capped a top-five season in the Bojangles’ Summer Shootout Pro division points standings at Charlotte Motor Speedway; and Davey, the leading Rookie of the Year contender in the Allison Legacy Touring Series.
In addition, the crew discussed Kasey Kahne’s impending departure from Hendrick Motorsports at the end of the season, Martin Truex Jr.’s fuel-economy win at Watkins Glen, the upcoming IndyCar race at the repaved Gateway Motorsports Park and Fernando Alonso’s chances of jumping to the IndyCar Series for 2018.
National dirt track analyst Steven Ovens also returned to the program to rehash the latest in dirt track racing news and results, as well as preview this weekend’s 5-Hour Energy Knoxville Nationals!
