GAFFNEY, S.C. — 20 year-old Vinnie Miller will make his NASCAR XFINITY Series debut this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, driving the No. 0 Chevrolet Camaro for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller in Saturday’s Chicagoland 300.
Miller has frequented the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and ARCA Racing Series this season, making six K&N East appearances and five ARCA showings to-date this year.
While he hasn’t yet reached victory lane, Miller has posted one top-five and six top-ten finishes, leading six laps in just 11 total touring stock car races.
“It is a dream come true to be able to race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series,” said Miller. “The opportunity to drive for JD Motorsports this weekend is something I never thought I would achieve when I started racing. I know Chicagoland is a challenging track and I have a lot to learn this weekend, but I plan on listening and learning as much as I can from my JDM teammates and crew chief this weekend.”
“The goal is to finish the race and gain experience and respect from other drivers. Thank you to everyone who made this possible, especially my family and Master Mfg. Inc.”
Miller started racing at five years old on the quarter midget tracks in Michigan and has been working his way toward a NASCAR career ever since, finding success in super late models, the Pro All Stars Series, the New Smyrna Speedway World Series of Asphalt Racing, CARS Tour and 602 Tour events before making the jump to the regional and national touring levels this year.
