Joe Nemechek Joins JD Motorsports For Daytona

GAFFNEY, S.C. – 1992 NASCAR XFINITY Series champion Joe Nemechek will compete in Saturday’s season-opening PowerShares QQQ 300 at Daytona Int’l Speedway, driving the No. 15 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet Camaro.

‘Front Row’ Joe has raced at Daytona 34 times in the XFINITY Series, scoring two wins, seven top-10 finishes and five pole awards.

“I’m looking forward to getting back to Daytona in a NASCAR XFINITY Series race car,” said Nemechek. “I ran with JD Motorsports a couple times last year, and we are looking to improve on that. Daytona has been a special place for me with poles, wins, top fives and top 10s. I’m very confident that JDM is bringing a car that will get me right to the front. They are a lot like my truck team, a small group of guys on a very limited budget. It’s going to be a good Speedweeks.”

The NASCAR XFINITY Series with take to the track for the first time on Friday, Feb. 16, with practices scheduled for 12:05 p.m. and 2:05 p.m.

Qualifying will start at 9:35 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17 and the PowerShares QQQ 300 will get the green flag at 2:30 p.m.
