LOUDON, N.H. — After scoring the Coors Light Pole for Saturday’s XFINITY race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Kyle Busch didn’t slow down at all.

Busch wasted no time in putting up the fastest lap in final practice for Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Loudon. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver turned a time of 29.086 seconds after bettering his initial quickest lap late in the session.

The No. 18 team led a trio of Toyotas with pole-sitter Martin Truex Jr. in second, who also had the fastest 10-lap average in final practice. Truex and Denny Hamlin ran identical laps at 29.171 seconds but the New Jersey native prevailed over Hamlin on longer-run speed.

Kyle Larson was the fastest Chevrolet in fourth as fellow young driver Chase Elliott completed the top-five in his No. 24 NAPA machine.

Jimmie Johnson slotted in sixth, followed by rookie Daniel Suarez and Pocono winner Ryan Blaney. Toyota drivers Matt Kenseth and Erik Jones rounded out the rest of the top-10.

The next time the stars and cars of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will be for Sunday’s 301-lap event around the 1.058-mile track.
